This half day course offers a theoretical insight into the concepts of Natural Dyeing. PLEASE NOTE - this is not a practical course and does not involve any hands-on dyeing processes.
If you are interested in using natural products, plants, vegetables for naturally dyeing fabrics, yarns or other materials, then this interesting insights course will be of interest to you.
This 3 hour course provides a scientific and theoretical explanation of the uses of natural plant dye products, vegetables and other products for naturally colouring fabrics, yarns or other items. We will cover all the terminology, the range of mordants and mordanting, the use of dye assists, chemistry and pH to achieve colour differentiation amongst other things.
For participants on this course we offer a 10% discount on books, resources, natural dyes, kits, mordants and other products in our retail shop or on our online shop for a period of 1 year after the course - we will issue you with a code during the course.

The course will be held at the Williams Pantycelyn Memorial Church Hall which is on the High Street in Llandovery and run from 10am to 13.00pm. Refreshments will be provided.
